All events are a draw. You may enter twice in all events except Steer Stopping.

Non-numbered cattle may be added to the herd in any event.

The winner of the ALL-AROUND will be determined by the most points. In the event of a tie, the person winning the most money will win. Points will be awarded to the top five in all events.

Each event will pay top three places.

CATTLE SORTING

Teams will consist of three people. 90 seconds time limit. Team will be given a starting number and time will start when they cross the barrier, which will be marked by two barrels in the arena. Team must sort cattle in numerical order, starting with the number given. If any calf goes over barrier out of sequence, it is a no time. If any sorted calf crosses back over the barrier, it is a no time. You may call for time at any time by raising your hand and calling time. Team with the most calves sorted in the quickest time wins.

CUT & ROPE

Teams will consist of two people. 90 second time limit. Team will be given a number and time will start when the cross the barrier, which will be marked by two barrels in the arena. Team must cut their numbered calf from herd and drive it between the two barrels before roping it head and heeled. Only full head catches are legal, no front feet. A 5 second penalty for only one heel caught. Three loops. Calf returning over barrier will be no time.

STEER STOPPING

Roper will start at catch-pen end of arena. When they pass the barrier, a steer will be released from the roping chute and time will start. Time will stop when steer is roped and horse and steer are facing. If horned cattle are used, legal catches are horns, half head or full head. One loop.

CALF DOCTORING

Team will consist of four people mounted. Two minute time limit. Team will be given a number and time will start when they cross the barrier, which will be two barrels in the arena. They must cut their numbered calf from the herd and drive it between the two barrels before roping it head and heels. Once roped, ropes must be placed on both hind feet and both front feet, and ropes stretched tight for time to end. Both header and heeler must remain mounted at all times. Four loops, one loop each person. Calf returning over barrier will be no time.

SORT & PEN

Team will consist of three people. 90 seconds time limit. Start number will be given and time will start when team enters large pen. Team sorts three head in numerical order from large pen into middle pen through a 20 – 30 foot opening. Team then must put calves into small pen through gate. Time ends when gate is shut with calves in pen and horses out. No time will be given if a sorted calf returns to large pen or a calf is sorted out of order, or if any other calves enter the middle pen. A 90 second time limit will be enforced.

IN & BYE SORTING

Team will consist of two people. 90 second time limit. Herd of 10 or more calves will be in pen at one end of alley. Team will be given either odd or even numbers to pen, prior to start. Time will start when they pass flagman and end when the last calf is either penned or it passes flagman. Cattle must be penned or pushed down alley past pen according to which numbers you must pen. A penned calf returning to alley will be a no time. Wrong numbered calf penned will be a no time.

FOOD BOOTH WILL BE OPEN AND A BAR WILL BE AVAILABLE TO THOSE OVER THE AGE OF TWENTY-ONE
